WALT: Work independently on a personal interest project.

I had to go to my class site to see some ideas and I chose a famous person, after that I had to go to my drive and start my presentation and I hope you enjoy!

REFLECTION: I had so much fun doing this and also sharing it to you guys and one thing I will change about next post is more information!

EOTC Surfing!!

 WALT: EOTC - Connect with our local environment and improve our surfing skills so that we cam surf like professionals.

I had to go to school get changed and then listen to the role, after that I went in my friends car to Taupo Bay and then we did role again. After role we quickly had the rules of surfing recap and then we went in, oh after the role we got into wet suits, after we got in the water we started catching man waves and I forgot to men chain. We got out and started to get dried and dressed and then we played games and then it rained!

REFLECTION: I had so much fun surfing and again so much fun doing this blog post. One thing that I will change about next blog post is add more photos when I need to!

My Postcard To My Baby Brother!

 WALT: Recount a memory from our holiday and write a short summary for a friend

I had so much fun writing this to my brother who is officially 3 and a half weeks old 🤯😱🥳 I asked the teacher if I could write to him and she said yes so it is not a mistake! I had to go to my class site and then we went onto literacy and pressed a link that took us to google slides, after that we had to decide who we would write it to and that's when I asked my teacher if I could write to Miller! I had to write all about my holiday and then post it for you guys to see! Hope you enjoy!!!

REFLECTION: I had fun writing this and I also had fun sharing it to you guys, one thing that I will work on next time is to be more specific but not too much words so I don't bore you with boring ancient words haha!

 WALT: Texts with your own prior knowledge to develop ideas and understandings. Research fats about Climate Change and write synthesis statements about the effects of Climate Change.

My Line Graph of High and Low Temperatures

WALT: Use Google Sheets to create and interpret time series graphs. 

 First I had to go to my class site and go to a google sheet, after I had opened that I quickly went to my maths class site and looked at the temperatures. This is my graph and I really hope you enjoy my blog post! 

 REFLECTION: I had so much fun doing this and also had so so so much fun adding this to my blog post, one thing that I didn't like was figuring out that I hadn't posted it last week haha!!

Wow Word: Climate Change

 WALT: Find the word 'climate' and 'weather' in the dictionary and learn it's meaning. Find the causes and effects of climate change.

First I went to my class site, then task board and that tells me what to do for my WOW Word. After that I did my WOW Word so yeah... HOPE YOU ENJOY!!

REFLECTION: I had so much fun doing this and adding it to my blog, what I will change next time is to be ore specific in less words so yeah enjoy!

My Mosaic Art!

WALT: Use 2D shapes and the polyline tool to create mosaic art on Google Drawings

I had to go to my drive, create a new google drawing and get a black background, after that I mad some magic! Here is my spectacular art piece...ENJOY!!

REFLECTION: I had so much fun creating this mosaic art and I also had fun posting this so you can see it! One thing I will change for next blog post is to be more specific in less words.

My Amazing Number Line with Decimals, Percentages and Fractions!

 WALT: Make connections between fractions, decimals and percentages

First I had to learn how to convert fractions to decimals to percentages and then I put it on a number line to help me with my maths, then I put it on my blog for you guys to see.... Hope you enjoy!!

REFLECTION:I had so much fun doing this blog post and had so much fun making the number line, I didn't have much fun doing the maths because I am bad at maths but I persevered and here I am with a number line WHOOP WHOOP! One thing that I will change next time is to explain more of what I am doing.

WALT: Find words in the dictionary and the thesaurus and write in complex sentences.

I had to go to my class site then go to the task board, after that I press on a link that takes me to a google slide that says all the things I need to do for my wow word. I keep that tab then I go to my drive press new than more and then google drawings, and I create a masterpiece!

REFLECTION: I had fun doing the google drawing and as I always say I love putting it on my blog for you guys to view it, I think it is really helpful that you help me in the comments so thank you for the ones that do that I really appreciate it. One thing that I will change for next blog post is to use less words so you aren't sitting in your seat reading for about 2 hours......WHOOPS! Haha.

Northern Advocate Article

WALT: Write a thank you letter following a formal letter structure

Tuatara and Kotuku which is my class and the other year 5 and 6 class wrote thank you letters to Jacinda Ardern and guess what, we got a response. How amazing is that! If you want to go read about it it is on the Mangonui School facebook page. Hope you enjoy my blog post.

REFLECTION: I had fun doing this blog post and I also had fun with adding it to my blog for all you amazing guys! One thing that I will change for my next blog post is to be more motivational. I was also so amazed we got a response!!!

Camera Shots And Angles

WALT:  Synthesise information from short movies to develop new ideas and understanding. Classify and compare different camera angles.

We had to go to our class site and we went to our task board, after that we pressed on a link and it took us to this whole entire presentation naming all the shots and stuff. We had to look through 2 videos and we got some screenshots of some stuff, after that we put them on the correct slide and wrote a description. Hope you enjoy!
REFLECTION: I had fun writing the descriptions on some of them and I also had fun adding it to my blog for you guys to see. One thing I will change about my next blog post is to be a little bit more specific but using less words so I am not boring you out with words.

WALT: Know our basic facts off by heart

I had to go to my class site that took me to a page that said I had to enter my name and my class name and then press on my maths grade, after I did that it would take me to a page with a bunch of questions I did then and then I pressed a button that said mark, took a screenshot of my results then went back to my class site, I pressed a link that took me to my slide presentation that you can see at the bottom and I put the screenshots there and added it to my blog for you guys.

REFLECTION: I had fun adding this to my blog and even doing my protec maths sheets and one thing that I will change for next blog posts is use less words in more ways so I am not boring you with a whole lot of words.

My Mana Potential fish

WALT: Create a Google Drawing of a natural disaster that portrays our feelings at Dark Blue / Tawhirimatea

We had to go to our class site and go to the page called Mana Potential, there was a video on how to make this fish and after watching it a few times I finally learnt how to do it, then we took a picture of it and added it to our blogs!

REFLECTION: I had fun making the fish and adding it to my blog it was very fun and interesting, one thing I will change in my next blog post is to be more explanatory.

My Basic Facts Results

WALT: Know Basic Facts off by heart

I had to go to my class site and pressed on a link that took me to a site called Protec maths and I had to enter in my name and class and then I started the test and after that I  pressed a button, that said mark and it would show me my results. I took a screenshot of yesterdays and today's screenshot and then I went back to my class site and pressed another link that, took me to a slide and I put them both on the slide and then I posted it onto my blog and I really hope you enjoy my post!

REFLECTION: I was on stage five desperate to move up and yeah, I had so much fun adding it to my blog I also had so much fun doing the maths tests, one thing I will change for next blog post is to say word that can say two or more words in one so I am not boring you guys with words and spelling!

WALT: Use google drawings to create Jacinda Ardern

I had to go onto my chrome book and go onto google drawing and create Jacinda Ardern, it was very very fun!!

REFLECTION: I had fun drawing her and colouring her in and one thing I am going to change and make more of a quality blog post is to be more creative and specific

My 12 day of Quarantine song!!

WALT: Use our creativity to share what we did in quarantine through song writing

I had to go to my class site and press a link that took me to this song page and then I had to brainstorm stuff that I did in quarantine and yeah we had to turn it into a song and this is what I came up with and I hope you like it.

REFLECTION: I liked to brainstorm  the song and write it it was super super fun and one thing I might do differently in my next blog post is to be more specific and more info

Mana Potential Drawing

WALT: Use Mana Potential as a self management tool

I had to go onto google drawings and create a natural disaster drawing also before we drew it we had to go to our class site and we had to click on a link, it took us to a bunch of pictures that we could outline, so literally we just chose a picture and outlined it and did some details and then uploaded it my our blogs!

REFLECTION:I had fun doing the outline and the details and one thing I will focus on for next blog post is top be more creative and a bit more explanatory you know what I mean

Maths 3D drawing

WALT: Draw 3D Isometric blocks

I had to get a sheet in class by the way and then I had to get a pencil and draw a 3D cube and then build them into a masterpiece which you can see I have done also hope you enjoy!

WALT: Pick a world wide disaster and make a google slides presentation

I had to go onto my class site and see what I was doing for this new fresh starting week and this was one of the things and I also had to research a  lot and go onto tab to tab and I had to upload it to my blog and I hope you enjoy this presentation of mine.


REFLECTION: I had fun making the slide presentation and I also had fun putting this onto my blog and one thing I found interesting about this was wow this is a huge tornado and you will see what I mean in a moment and also before I forget what I am going to focus on for next blog post is to be myself.

ThaiLand Cave Story

WALT: Write a story on storyboard that add to our blog

I had to go onto StoryBoard That and Make this story it was really fun,  The first scene is them entering the cave, The second Scene is the cave flooding and the third scene is people rescuing them and I hope you enjoy and I hope you enjoy!

My Emergency Kit

WALT: What to put in emergency kit when stuck in cave for nine days


I had to go onto my class site to see what I was doing for this week and this was one of the thing and yeah we had to pretend that we know we were going to be stuck in a cave for nine days write down all the things we would pack and insert a picture of a first aid kit and add it to my blog.

I had to go on my class site and look at what I was doing for this week and this was one of the things I was assigned to and I also had to research about Thailand Cave and the disaster about it and I had to pretend I was one of the boys stuck in the cave and write a diary about it I hope you enjoy.

I had to go onto my class site and I had to find the 2 Angles sheets and write it down and it was very easy after I learnt the easy way.


REFLECTION: I had fun solving the equations on both the math sheets and I also had fun doing the title on both of them but one thing I can do better in next blog post is be more neat.

WALT: Learn about a natural disaster and make a video on a science experiment of the natural disaster I chose

I had to choose a natural disaster that happens in NZ our country and I had to do A science experiment based on what it is so yeah it was really fun.

REFLECTION: I had so much fun doing the experiment and I also had fun making this blog post but one thing I can focus on for next blog post is be more accurate on my posts

I had to google and write down the activities for this work piece and it was a bit fun.

Emergency Kit

WALT: Make an emergency kit and explain about it

I had to write the things I would have in it and I also had to design my own kit and I think I have got some pretty good stuff in my kit so I think you would want to stay by me for your whole life because I have got basically everything you need!


REFLECTION: I had fun making my kit and I also had fun writing down all the things I would have with me for emergencies but I think for next blog post be more focuses and not opening heaps of tabs

Maths Measurement Activity

WALT: Find the volume in shapes

I had to go onto our class site and look at what we were doing and we had to do this and there was a sheet and we had to copy what it said onto paper and then start the activity.

REFLECTION: I found it fun to find out the volume and I also really liked doing was drawing the shapes but one thing I can do for next blog post id put my mind to one thing and complete it before I start on another one and get confused and mix up files get agitated and not getting any work done.

ANZAC

WALT: Understand and recognize the meaning behind ANZAC in our country

I had to go onto my class site and click on this link andI got brought to this thing and yeah I took it from there and I came up with this piece of work.

REFLECTION: What I found interesting about this work is learning about the wonderful history and another thing that I found interesting is that al, the people in this history are great people I wish I could research more about the history.

wow Word of the week

WALT: Do the wow word of the week!!

I had to go onto my class site and look at the wow word of the week and this was the word and after we do what we have to do we add it to our blog and make it real.

REFLECTION: I really liked doing the border and I also really liked doing the A N Z A C word thing that was fun too, one thing I can be better on next blog post is probably using more words and explaining more than what it looks like!

Anzac Biscuits!!

WALT: Make something delicious for the Holidays

 I had to go into one of our cook books and find a recipe I can cook I also had to get all the ingredients to make this recipe I hope you like it!


REFLECTION: I really liked making the dough and I also liked eating the Anzac Biscuits but one thing I can focus more on the next blog post is probably to be a bit more specific.

Converting!!

WALT: Convert Weight and Capacity

I had to go onto my class site and press on this link that had all these questions i have answered on it. It took me two days to finish it so that makes me very proud to finally be done, I also had to watch videos and ask questions if I was stuck or did not  know what to do. I had so much fun doing this you should give it a go.

REFLECTION: I had fun doing this math and i also quite liked watching the videos on how to do it but one thing I think I should focus on for next blog post is to be more focused!
