Christmas Snow Globe Video

WALT: Create your own PNG image on Google slides and then also create a video clip using Green Screen.

We got to go onto Google Drawings and we drew around a Snow Globe and then after that we got to fill it in! It was so fun to fill it in and we did everything in Google Drawings and we didn't use any Internet stuff.

REFLECTION: I loved filling in everything and I also loved using the shapes but I didn't like tracing out the Snow Globe and stuff because I kept stuffing up so in the end I asked for help from my good friend.

E.O.T.C Beach Day

We went to the beach but first we had to pack things then we went in the morning and you got to choose if you wanted to shuttle or walk and I chose to walk, we went through Rangikapiti Pa and we then walked a trail to the beach, we had morning tea and started our rotations. The first rotation for my group was walking in a bit of Rangikapiti Pa and we had to remember 10 trees or plants I can't remember. The next rotation was Photography and we had lots of fun with that, The next rotation was Kayaking and Paddle boarding then after that was Beach cricket and I loved that day so much, we had to go back but first we had Kai LUNCH TIME. I got to go back in the van. SO FUN!

REFLECTION: It was so so fun also Kayaking and paddle boarding was my favourite and also beach cricket followed by everything but the thing that i didn't really like was walking uphill.

Country Study

WALT: Studying a certain country for the Rugby World Cup.

We got to choose a buddy and I chose Kathleen. We had a hat and we got to choose a country and we got Fiji. We got information and Pictures and chose a cool title but some people might not find it like that. Anyway this is what we came up with.

WALT: Design a Brochure and and Summarise important facts.

We had to create a Brochure on Google slides. We had to gather and research information.

REFLECTION: We got information put a title and pictures because every Brochure has pictures and we also put it on our blogs so you could see it.

My Holiday

WALT: We used remove.bg to change a photo to a PNG photo.

I had to write about my favourite bit of our holidays and I chose this. I also had to choose a background to suit my story, and had to do the picture. we would choose a picture and it would PNG it. MAGIC!

REFLECTION: It was really fun to do, I liked doing the picture and the writing and the thing that I wish I had done was another paragraph!

WALT: Add and subtract decimal Fractions.

We learnt all about decimal fractions and we had this sheet to work on, it was a bit challenging but know I got the hang of it.

REFLECTION: I liked the challenge, I also liked doing the easy way my teacher taught me. What I didn't like so much was doing the graphs it was confusing.

RANGIKAPITI PA TREE PLANTING

INTRODUCTION: We had to sit o bus 2 till we were there and back. When we were at Rangikapiti pa we had to listen to this professional and had to make sure we had a pill in there. We also had to make sure we didn't step on the other plants.

QUESTION: Have you planted trees before?

REFLECTION: I wish I could have planted more. It was really fun planting the trees.
I also loved walking looking for holes with Kathleen.

WALT: We learnt how to write a paragraph using the TEXT format.

INTRODUCTION: We chose a buddy and had to research about the organ we chose which was lungs and then write the paragraph and put it on our blog.

REFLECTION: It was fun researching about the organ and I didn't like the mind map very much

QUESTION: What do you think is the most important organ in your body?


Did you know that you cannot breathe without your RESPIRATORY system? When you breath in your lungs puff up like an air bed, and when you breathe out your lungs slowly go down. Lungs are the colour reddish pink and are a bit big. Did you also know that you could have blown about 6 million breaths by the time you are in your 60's or 70's? The lungs are the fourth most important organ in your body and can carry a lot of oxygen in one breath. You need to keep your lungs safe so you can breath have orange juice.

ORGANS

WALT: Lable and state facts about our organs.

INTRODUCTION: We had to learn about our organs then get on to google slides and create it.

REFLECTION: It was a bit boring to learn about our organs but making the slides was not boring. I think I could do a bit more organs but I am proud of what I did.

Fractions using Screencastify

Walt: Find fractions of sets and use Screencastify to explain our work.

We had to get all the shapes and prepare screencastify but before all that I had to learn the fractions and that was my least favourite part. I was a bit shy of putting my face on but I got over my fear and I love seeing my face now. It was a bit stressful though.

Reflection: I was a bit shy by showing my face but I learnt to get over it! I had a great time and try it out. My favourite part was doing after I wasn't shy. OWN IT!

My skeletal system

WALT: Label the skeletal system and state some facts.

INTRODUCTION: We listened to this music video and then we put it on the google doc and wrote facts and after we put it on our blog.

REFLECTION: I most enjoyed labelling the skeleton. I hated learning every bone in the body cause it took forever. I think I could have put more facts in slide.

WALT: Use google slides to enhance our multiplication skills.

 HOW TO PLAY THE GAME: It takes you to interesting questions and quizzes. You will get puzzled among its brains. Try and defeat the boss like in a board game.

 REFLECTION: I think I could have puzzled you a bit more.

We went out to the playground to go practice our song Count On Me and sign language. We got to put it on Facebook. Hope you enjoy it.

REFLECTION:  WE had so much fun but it was a little bit hard to remember. I think I could have practices it a bit more.

Explanation Writing: Rainbow Warrior

How the Rainbow Warrior got bombed.

On 10 July 1985 a ship called the Rainbow Warrior was going to protest against nuclear testing. Two people planted two bombs on the boat because they got mad about the protesting against nuclear testing. At ten minutes to midnight one went off. After ten minutes of the first bomb the second one went off. Fernado Peireira drowned in his cabin when the second bomb went off. He was going to get his camera but I bet you know what happened. There were another spy who planned to bomb the ship and her name was Christine Cabon. She worked in the Auckland office and she was looking for maps and information to bomb the ship. The other two spies Alain Marfart and Daminique Prieur acted as tourists to plant the bomb and it worked. After the Rainbow Warrior was fully sunk, after like a week or something, they found the Rainbow Warrior and towed it to Matauri Bay and scuttled it there. Now there is a memorial that has the anchor of the Rainbow Warrior and there is a ramap as well as a rock that has a line pointing where they scuttled the Rainbow Warrior. They scuttled it between two islands.
